Free Chick-fil-A: Tomorrow July 8, 2011

On July 8, 2011, come dressed like a cow from head to hoof and we’ll reward you with a free meal. If you’re a little chicken, don’t worry, a partial costume still receives a free entree. And calves in costumes get free meals too; so bring in the whole herd for some family fun.

My doggies would have been mad at me for this one
If I did dress up, I would try something like this…

Food, Fitness, & Flemings: Eating Healthy on a Budget
I’ve been told that I am helping to create that extra bulge in the waistline of some of my most loyal She Makes Cents readers with my Eat on the Cheap series. To make up for it, I will share with you two words that everyone in the world should know about….HEALTHY CHOMP! Healthy Chomp makes your body slimmer and your wallet fatter. From restaurants to recipes, founders Kimberly and Brooke Fleming are creating a national movement to encourage people to eat healthier throughout the day while maintaining a budget. Yep, they are like the Jamie Oliver’s of my generation changing the relationship between food, fitness, and your budget. You may recognize Kim from the Fitness that Saves Cents Makes Cents post or if you are from the Atlanta area, you have seen her in her grey and pink facilitating a boot camp. If not, get to know the Flemming sisters’ work by clicking here.
Below is one recipe I can’t wait to try:

Reminder! Free Doughnuts TODAY for National Doughnut Day!
Free Doughnuts on National Doughnut Day!
In college, my friends and I created a group called the K.K. Crew who would get together after dance rehearsal and chow down on doughnuts (only when the “Hot Sign” was on). Members of the K.K. Crew, this post is for you. With Love,
db
In my opinion, National Doughnut Day is a real holiday because of its history and tradition rooted in American culture and… FREE doughnuts. National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by the Salvation Army to raise funds to help people in need and honor the women who served doughnuts to WWI soldiers. On June 3, 2011, Krispy Kreme is offering one FREE doughnut of ANY variety per customer. Likewise, Dunkin’ Donuts is offering guests a free donut of their choice with the purchase of any drink. Enjoy!
