I saw this movie a few weeks ago at a private viewing for alumnae of Spelman College. Since then, I have been intridged by hearing first hand stories from people from Jackson, Mississippi who lived there during this period. Even though I saw the movie once, I will say I want to see it again. At the viewing, I spent most of the movie comparing it to the book. By seeing it again, I believe I can enjoy it more for entertainment purposes rather than viewing it with a critical eye.
