Hey Guys…I’m Back!!!

Hello SMC readers, I almost feel like long time no see/write/read :/ and guess what? I missed my readers! I just wanted to give you guys an update of what I was up to all week and why I have not been posting. For four days last week, I taught dance to the youth of today. I was in ballet and jazz mode, so my mind was on ballet positions, jazz walks, triplets, pas de bourees, battements, chasses’, grand jetes, etc. On the final day, there was a preview show to showcase everything they learned. It is something I do every summer and something I thoroughly enjoy! A few years ago, I had my own high school team I choreographed for and now I am asked during the summer season to travel to various schools to do private technique clinics. Since showing footage from the clinic would reveal to their competition some of the things they have been working on, I will just show you the product of my work on my team from 2/3 years ago.

Sidenote: Some of my past students have gone on to dance for their college teams and semi-professional teams! I’ve even had one to join me in AKAland! s/o to my mentee Asia!
